The first episode of the second series of IAU Magazine program with the subject of Islamic Azad University civil projects was shown on IRIB TV channel 1.
According to an ISCA report, the head of IAU board of directors and trustees, Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati stated that it is imperative that all of us help the university find its true place. IAU has adequate capacity to be among the top universities, not only in the country, but also in the Middle East and international arena.
In this program, the IAU acting president, Dr. Ali Mohammad Nourian explained that the university’s development movement was based on spiritual and material support from the people, and it required space where educational activities formed there. He added that the IAU Civil Engineering division has been working extensively since the beginning.
In this regard, the IAU Deputy of Civil Engineering, Mohsen Hashemi, stated that almost 1 million square meters of the university’s projects have been completed and expressed his hopes for the finalization of the remaining 500,000 m2 by next the year. The program report he presented also detailed the opening of 505 branches and offices over the past three years.
Also discussed in this program was reforming the university symbols as well as opening and operation of 129 mosques and 58 memorials considered to be lasting cultural projects.
