Authorities from IAU and Belarus academia exchanged their views on developing research and scientific interaction at the IAU Central Offices.
According to ANA (Azad News Agency), The general director of Informatics Institute at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Dr. Evgeni Efimov, who was accompanied by the representative of Belarus Academy international affairs, Prof Siamak Shahab, met with Dr. Dariush Javid, head of Islamic Azad University, Malayer branch to assess further grounds for cooperation, including the opening of a cooperation office in Belarus in September 2016 upon approval by president of IAU and general director of IAU international affairs.
Various subjects were discussed in this meeting, such as sending out Malayer IAU’s faculty members on sabbaticals, setting up a website in Persian, English, and Russian, exchanging experiences for further student cooperation, developing educational collaboration such as admitting Iranian students to study in Belarus, implementing joint knowledge-based projects focusing on supercomputing in the industry, launching 3 research and scientific journals l, and holding joint seminars and workshops in Iran and Belarus.
In his visit of Malayer IAU, Dr. Efimov made a presentation of the research and scientific potentials of Belarus National Academy of Sciences and announced their readiness for developing collaboration with the IAU. He also stated that the National Academy of Sciences holds a notable research and scientific portfolio and achievements in the fields of computer science, medicine, environmental sciences and aerospace.
Malayer IAU and Belarus National Academy of Sciences signed a cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aiming at developing research and scientific cooperation such as exchanging faculty members and students, running mutual academic projects, and holding educational courses.
